Cuando la pelÃcula llegó a un flashback en el que una niña corrÃa por el patio con una muñeca, el subtÃtulo ordenó: "Encuentra la muñeca." Mateo saltó del sofá, buscando en el baño, debajo de la cama. Debajo del mueble de la tele, con el tamaño perfecto para encajar en la escena, apareció una muñeca con costuras deshechas y ojos reemplazados por botones. Al tocarla, oyó un susurro: "Gracias por traerme de vuelta."
La pelÃcula avanzó mostrando a una familia cuya perfección se iba deshilachando: secretos en cajones, acuerdos escritos a mano, fotos con ojos borrados. En la pantalla, una figura coronada por un suéter azul miraba a cámara, y el subtÃtulo escribió su nombre: "Javier". Mateo dejó de respirar. En el sótano polvoriento de un videoclub cerrado, Mateo encontró una caja de DVDs sin carátula. Mateo corrió a apagar el reproductor, pero la pantalla seguÃa mostrando su sala desde un ángulo imposible: la cámara estaba detrás de él. Los subtÃtulos se movÃan más rápido ahora, como si se alimentaran de su pulso acelerado. "No se puede borrar lo que fue rehecho", decÃa uno. "El repack guarda lo que otros desechan."
